Sierra Nevada Endurance Runs

The Sierra Nevada Endurance Runs took place this weekend under new race management and super hot weather. The new race directors, Julie Fingar and Greg Soderland, offered distances of 12k, marathon, double marathon, and 100k on some great single track that parallels the American River. Team ConLer (former ARC employees Tyler and Connor) worked the aid station at No Hands Bridge in between dunks in the river to cool off. The heat was definitely a factor taking its toll on finish times and drop rates though some folks managed to throw down some mean finish times. Auburn runner Aaron Kopp did his best (above) to cool off every time he passed the canal, a creek or a puddle. Results are at the SNER web site.
